OLDERSHAW suffered their first defeat in South Lancashire/Cheshire Three League 12-10 against Collegiate but moved into the final of the Cheshire Plate with a 27-8 win over Marple.
Hoylake could not make it an all Wirral final as they fell 34-7 at Wilmslow.
It will be a big ask for Oldershaw in the last stage with Wilmslow three leagues above them.
The final is set for Easter Saturday at Winnington Park at 1.30pm ahead of the main cup final between Birkenhead Park and Macclesfield at 3.30pm.
Chester return to Midlands One League action at home to Hinckley in a must-win game. The club’s Annual Dinner is on May 1 when Rory Underwood will be the guest speaker.
