LIVERPOOL ST HELENS lost this North Two West battle despite being 15 points in front with 14 minutes to go.
They led through two sparkling tries from winger Beren Delbrooke-Jones and a conversion and penalty from Simon Worsley. But Lymm fought back and with two minutes to go there was high drama when the referee allowed Lymm’s Tom Hughes to retake a 30-metre penalty which he missed as an LSH player had apparently made a comment.
Hughes made no mistake second time to put the home side into the lead before slotting another.
