WIDNES fell just short last weekend when their South Lancs Cheshire One title ambitions were ended by Wirral at the Memorial Ground.
Lee McDermott’s side now have a weekend off before resuming duties at home to Wigan in their last league game of the campaign on April 18.
Overall the club has had a great year. The second team continue their charge from Miller Homes League Five and the third team are still in with a promotion shout in Division Five West following their qualification for the final of the Halbro Plate on May 2.
