WARREN GOODWIN’S club record innings of 168 for Chester Boughton Hall against Macclesfield last weekend makes him top scorer with 273 runs in the ECB Premier Division of the Chapel Press Cheshire County League and sets up the Filkins Lane club for their clash against struggling visitors Didsbury tomorrow.
Chester were also delighted with their new Australian batsman Hayden Butterworth, his 93 at Macclesfield helping Goodwin in a 233 partnership for the fourth wicket. With Alex Kegg (15 wickets) again in good form this season, Boughton Hall should break their duck.
Top of the table by four points, Bowdon visit second-placed Hyde in the match of the day and expect to have Lancashire duo Gareth Cross and Steve Cheetham both available.
Without top batsman Stan Clifford, who is recovering from hamstring damage, fourth-placed Neston host struggling Macclesfield
