ALDER, Wavertree and Southport Trinity all were winners on a rain hit day in the Bromborough Paints Merseyside and Southport Alliance.
Ken Highdale hit an undefeated 113 for Alder who accounted for Birkenhead St Mary’s by 78 runs.
Neil Durand reached 45 and Bob Rimmer claimed 5-27.
Mizan Haq with 44 top scored for Birkenhead.
Wavertree had five wickets to spare against Sutton.
Narender Negi was the key with 67 and 4-30.
Southport Trinity finished 98 runs to the good against Norley Hall. Anthony Campbell made 68 and Anthony Hall had a 5-41 return.
Leaders Whitefield were amongst the sides not to get any action.
