THE race for the Bromborough Paints Merseyside and Southport Alliance title is hotting up.
Wavertree replaced Whitefield at the head of the table last weekend and will expect to maintain their position tomorrow.
They are due at Moorfield, who appear to have lost their way in recent weeks.
Whitefield, only three points behind the new leaders, face a tough test away to Sutton who are now fourth in the table.
Alder are third and should prove too strong for visiting Haydock.
Kamran Hussein has been among the runs and wickets recently for Parkfield Liscard and will hope for another good contribution as the combined aim to maintain their move up the table when they visit Norley Hall.
