MICHAEL BAILIFF headed West Cheshire AC’s charge at the final track and field league match of the season.
He cleared a new personal best grade one height of 1.73m to win the under-15s boys high jump competition at the Cheshire League match at Ellesmere Port, alongside B winner, Ryan Jones, who achieved 1.30m. Chris Goodwin clocked a winning time of nine minutes 49.2 seconds in the 3,000m, and Tom Booth finished third in 10:25.1.
Amy Williams posted a grade one time of 28.2 seconds for victory in the under-13s girls 200m, alongside Laura Jones (third in the A race in 31.7), Chloe Hunt (second in the C race in 31.8), and Sophie Percival (second in the D race in 33.9).
Tess Corr (2:51.2), Amy Williams (2:57.2), Sally Pickering (2:54.4), and Chloe Hunt (3:01.7) competed in the U13s girls 800m alongside Natasha Tudor, and Laura Jones (6.37m) and Sophie Percival (6.35m) teamed up in the shot. Max Himbury, Matt Pagan, Daniel Vickers, Chris Harrop, James McMahon, Oliver Ashworth, Josh Bate, and Alex Kirk teamed up for the U13s boys.
Ali Birkett (27.3), Amber Simon (31.3), Jenna Sheehy (29.0), and Kelly Baker (29.0) represented West Cheshire’s U15s girls in the 200m. Karry Broster (2:44.9), Olivia Montez-Brown (2:51.3), and Jenna Sheehy (2:56.9) completed the U15s girls 800m, while Olivia finished second A (4.62m) and Kelly finished second B (4.04m) in the long jump, and Kelly (22.01m) teamed up with Lucy Earl (18.48m) for a double success in the discus. Rob Tudor won the men’s 1,500m in 4:38.6 ahead of third placed Alan Littler (5:13.2), while David Thompson (24.1), John Manning (25.6), Tom Booth (25.3), and Alan Littler (26.4) combined in the men’s 200m.
