CHESTER are looking forward to their National Three North League derby at Birkenhead Park on Saturday.
The Hare Lane side, after a couple of reverses including one in the County Cup against higher-rated opponents, have posted two league victories against West Hartlepool and Beverley and it promises to be a close contest at the Upper Park.
Recent signing Rhys Hayes starred for Chester in a 28-18 scoreline against Beverley.
He gained three of the tries with Gareth Coy and Marcus Lyon the others to touch down. Although Hayes landed only one kick, he has generally done well with the boot in his outings to date and seems sure to capitalise if Birkenhead present him with opportunities.
