New Brighton increase competition after swoop to sign four new players

THE competition for places at New Brighton has increased with the recent signing of four players.

Centre Simione Mafi is the latest Tongan to move in at Hartsfield.

Liverpool-based student Ian Ahern from Cork is another new man. The stand-off come fly-half has not been attached to a senior club before.

Winger Nick Aldersley, who can also play at full-back has switched from Chester and stand-off Neil Cross has returned to the club.
