THE attention of North One West focuses on Moss Lane this Saturday as third-placed Liverpool St Helens entertain league leaders Altrincham Kersal. With both sides in tremendous form it promises to be a cracker.
Kersal arrive on the back of five consecutive wins, including an 82-3 demolition of Aspatria, although they only scraped home 9-8 last week against Leigh.
LSH, after a mixed start, have won the last three and put in another powerful performance at Vale of Lune last Saturday.
The two clubs are no strangers to each other having met regularly over the past few seasons, always producing close games. Last season honours were even with LSH winning 12-10 at Moss Lane and Kersal triumphant 16-9 at Stelfox Road later in the year.
With the LSH squad developing nicely there is healthy competition for places. Matty Cunliffe, injured against Tyldesley, is expected to return on Saturday although second-rower Alan Chadwick is now sidelined for some weeks with a shoulder injury.
