Caldy aim to leapfrog Grasshoppers

CALDY look for their sixth win in seven outings at Preston Grasshoppers tomorrow to keep up the pressure on National Two North leaders Macclesfield.

Certainly confidence is high amongst the Paton Field squad and there seems no reason why they should not maintain their excellent points scoring record, more especially if lock forward Paul Arnold can add to his impressive eight try tally so far.

Waterloo have a date with Rugby Lions at Blundellsands and will be hopeful of a second victory.

It is another full league Saturday. Birkenhead Park in National Three North are due at Sheffield Tigers and will need a one hundred per cent performance if they are to gain any reward. Little change is likely from last week’s winning line-up.

Chester and West Park are also on the road, the former to Darlington Mowden Park and the St Helens side to Cleckheaton and desperately in need of a morale boosting first victory.

LSH face a big challenge in North One West at home to leaders Altrincham Kersal. Matt Cunliffe is set to return after injury.

Leigh have Aspatria as visitors and New Brighton entertain lowly Tyldesley and could include some new signings.
