NEW Brighton have agreed to make their New Year date at Moss Farm against Northwich into a double header.
It means the match on January 16 will now count in North One West and also the semi-final of the Cheshire Senior Vase competition.
The cup tie was originally set down for this Saturday but the Blues will now have a free weekend.
Head coach Steve Dorrington was well pleased with the latest league victory 40-10 over Blackburn which took them into the top half of the North One West table but still five points adrift of leaders Lymm.
Vinnie Dutton crossed twice and Keith Mahon, Luke Thompson, Simione Mafi and Kieran Hibbs once each in an entertaining affair.
The next league clash for Brighton is Saturday week at Broughton Park.
Meanwhile it seems the Wirral Floodlit Cup competition which has been staged by New Brighton for a number of years has now run its course.
There are no plans for the knock-out with several of the more senior clubs having showed little interest in taking part in recent seasons.
