THE time has come for the big National Two North clash – Caldy versus Macclesfield this Saturday at 2.15pm.
Caldy’s first XV may have had a break from games at the weekend after being knocked out of the Cheshire Cup but they have been training hard in preparation for this weekend’s game against their rivals.
Coach Matt Holt said: “We’re looking forward to the game, it’s turned into a bit of a local derby with the two front runners, so it will be interesting to gauge where we are.”
Loughborough Students are in pole position, Caldy are second with Macclesfield third.
The 1st XV are not the only team to grace the first team pitch on Saturday. At 12.45pm, the U11s are going to test out the pitch with their own clash against Macclesfield and there will be a bouncy castle, barbecue and competitions for prizes. The second team are at Penrith, 3rds host Winnington Park.
