Local Rugby Union: Caldy look to return to winning ways at Broadstreet

CALDY have a big chance to bounce back to winning form in National Two North tomorrow when they journey to mid-table Broadstreet.

Few changes are likely after the narrow defeat at the hands of Macclesfield.

Waterloo host Kendal and will need to show improvement to take much needed points.

There are away clashes for Birkenhead Park, West Park and Chester in National Three North. Birkenhead face a tough match at promotion challenging Stockport but should have back-row man David Blythe back in the line-up.

West Park, encouraged by their first win, will not find it easy at Middlesbrough but Chester should maintain a top four placing at the expense of Rossendale although lock Gareth Sanger is a likely absentee through injury.

In-form Liverpool St Helens will expect to have the measure of visiting Wilmslow in North One West and New Brighton should win against Burnage although improvement will be necessary after an out-of-sorts display last weekend. Skipper Kati Tuipultou is doubtful.

Anselmians entertain leaders Bowdon in a key South Lancashire/Cheshire One clash.

In Division Two Sefton call up winger Dave Stanistreet for his first game for two years at home to Southport.

There are no Division Three games but some Wirral clubs figure in the last round robin stage of the Cheshire Plate competition.
