CHESTER bounced back in style after their hiccup at the hands of Rossendale to record a 48-3 victory over visiting West Hartlepool in National Three North.
The result was hardly a surprise against a side stuck at the wrong end of the table but the manner of it was very encouraging for the Hare Lane outfit.
They ran in seven tries with two of them via man of the match Marcus Lion, and also added five of the conversions and a penalty.
Chester round off the year away to Beverley this Saturday ahead of their Christmas celebrations back at their own clubhouse.
Another win would take them into the New Year among the top four in the table.
