WEATHER permitting, New Brighton will stage their annual Boxing Day game involving a Blues XV against an Old Birkonian Presidents XV (2.15pm).
The Presidents side will include players from local clubs and further afield.
Meanwhile, the Blues will be looking for improvement in the New Year when they resume their North One West programme. Certainly the first half of the season did not go to plan and they have a mountain to climb to get anywhere near a top two finish.
It is likely the clash with leaders Lymm – called off last weekend – will now be re-arranged for January 2.
The absence of injured skipper Kati Tuipulotu has been keenly felt, and it could be some time yet before he is fit to return.
