LIVERPOOL ST HELENS’ players will have longer than usual to run off the effects of any Christmas excesses after a series of rearranged fixtures has left them without a game this weekend.
Originally scheduled to travel to Blackburn for a Lancashire Cup second round tie, the wholesale cancellation of fixtures on December 19 due to the bad weather has brought this Saturday into use as a replacement date for North One West fixtures.
Blackburn will now meet Altrincham Kersal while Northwich, LSH’s opponents on the day the snow arrived, already have an outstanding game to play with Leigh. Hence LSH have no game.
LIVERPOOL ST HELENS’ second XV are in action at Moss Lane on Saturday when they take on Stockport in the Halbro Cup second round. Kick off is 2.15pm.
