THERE seemed no way back for Widnes after an hour when they trailed Park by 32-12, but they somehow found the inner strength to launch a stunning fight back and clinch a famous victory with a dramatic last minute try from Paul Borg to stun their opponents.
Up until that point, they were a distant second best as the visitors built up a 24-7 half time lead.
A penalty just after the break extended their lead.
Man of the match Borg then scored a try to reduce the arrears but a forty metre interception try from hooker Jones handed the advantage back to the visitors.
At that point it looked all over for Lee McDermott's side.
But two tries in the space of five minutes from Andy McIntosh and Calum Hancock meant that it was game on.
As Widnes piled on the pressure, it was left to that man Borg to score again under the posts enabling Kevin Ledbetter to slot over the match winning conversion.
