LOCAL RUGBY UNION: New Brighton are without a game this weekend

NEW Brighton are without a fixture on Saturday despite having a backlog of matches.

The possibility of re-arranging last Saturday’s postponed trip to Tyldesley was out of the question with the Lancashire club already committed to play on what was originally a league free date.

The Blues’ second team are due at Ormskirk in the Raging Bull Trophy and it is hoped club captain Kati Tuipulotu will have a run out. The Tongan has been sidelined for a couple of months after suffering a wrist fracture. Meanwhile New Brighton’s re-arranged league game at Northwich on April 17 will also count as the Cheshire Senior Vase semi-final.
