LEIGH found promotion chasing Northwich too strong in North West One and fell to a 38-10 home reverse.
But Anselmians had no problems at home to Ormskirk in South Lancashire/Cheshire One as they stormed to a 62-12 victory.
It was not so good for Hoylake who went down 21-16 at Oswestry but Wigan prevailed 22-13 against high ranking Bowdon.
Sefton, in Division Two, had to settle for tries via Matt Thomas and Mark Tyms in a 25-10 defeat at Trentham.
Collegiate recorded a 28-5 success at the expense of Southport but there were defeats for Wallasey, 37-3 at Ashton-on-Mersey and Orrell Anvils, 25-17 at Marple.
Capenhurst finished 30-10 to the good against Helsby in Division Three.
West Park Warriors came from 20-5 down to overcome Carnforth 36-20 in North Lancs Two. Jerry Dowling and Matt Cozens starred with three tries each and Dowling also targeted a trio of conversions.
New Brighton, Wirral, Oldershaw, Parkonians, Port Sunlight, Ellesmere Port, Prenton and St Edwards were amongst sides without a game.
