NEW BRIGHTON have solved their Cheshire Vase semi-final dilemma with the help of the County Competitions Committee.
The Blues agreed with opponents Northwich the North One West league clash in mid-January would count as a double header but the game was a weather victim.
The re-arranged match on April 17 is after the scheduled Vase final but the county decided that due to a severe backlog of fixtures for all clubs the Vase and Bowl finals due at Easter would be put back to the May Bank Holiday weekend.
So again the double header is on, avoiding the possibility of a toss of coin to decide the winner.
The Blues did not have a game last weekend and resume action this Saturday at home to Vale of Lune.
