WIRRAL rounded off a highly-successful season in style in South Lancashire/Cheshire 1 with a 42-20 victory at Warrington.
The result emphasised their right to the title and they also created what is thought to be a new record in totalling 1,014 points during the campaign.
Alistair Baker with two tries reached 36 for the season.
Adam Stephens also went in twice with singles via Ian White, Alistair Childs and Ben March. Sam Broadbent struck a penalty and Dan Harvey two conversions.
Anselmians beat Winnington Park 41-10 and can clinch a play-off place by winning their two remaining games.
Ormskirk accounted for Dukinfield 40-14, Hoylake drew 19-19 against Vagabonds in the Isle of Man whilst Wigan fell 17-13 at home to Sale.
Oldershaw finished 13-10 to the good against Ashton-on-Mersey in Division 2, while Sefton edged out Ruskin Park 32-27.
Southport went under 27-21 at Trentham and Wallasey fell 27-5 at Marple.
Prenton beat Ramsey 27-21 in Division Three. The game also counted in the semi-final of the Cheshire Plate. Jamie Newman, Steve Evans and Mark Astbury went in for the winners with Daryl Parker kicking the remainder of the points.
Parkonians fell 54-10 at Holmes Chapel where Karl Whelan and Matt Dooley touched down.
Capenhurst finished 62-10 to the good against Helsby and Ellesmere Port dismissed Port Sunlight 54-19.
St Edwards stayed top of North Lancashire 2 with a 23-0 success at Colne & Nelson. Joe Carroll, Spencer Williamson and Wayne McCabe breached the home defence and Martin McGeough landed one conversion and two penalties.
Mossley Hill came away 20-13 to the good from Blackpool and West Park Warriors made it 29-24 at Carnforth.
