LEEDS believe their potential match-winner in Saturday’s Carnegie Challenge Cup final could be sitting in the dug-out throughout the 80 minutes.
The Rhinos’ hopes of securing their first Cup success for 11 years were dealt a body blow with the loss of inspirational prop forward Jamie Peacock, who suffered a season-ending knee injury earlier this month.
Rhinos skipper Kevin Sinfield believes the England international will still have a crucial role to play against holders Warrington.
“JP is massive and we’ll miss him,” said Sinfield. “As a figure, as a bloke, as a player, as a friend, he ticks all the boxes and delivers every time he takes the field.
“I’m delighted JP’s coming down with us.
“His support and his presence will be great for the group.”
