Leigh defeat Kirby Lonsdale in North West League One

LEIGH found their touch at Kirby Lonsdale in North West League One as they rattled up 34 points without reply.

Anselmians maintained winning ways in South Lancashire /Cheshire One League 17-8 at Wigan.

John Close and Loa Topou touched down and Simon Mason hit both conversions and a penalty.

Hoylake were pleased with a 15-8 success at Ashton on Mersey. Ben Flint and Steve Young crossed with the latter adding a conversion and a penalty.

Ormskirk just made it 6-5 at Sale.

Oldershaw took the Division Two derby at Wallasey in convincing style. It finished 44-0.

Centre Anthony Gartland led the way with three tries. Mike Warren and Lewis Williams also went in and Mark Hallam landed all the conversions plus a trio of penalties.

Sefton romped home 36-9 at Holmes Chapel. Wayne Osborne and Matt Thomas secured a brace of tries each. Andy Thompson also got in on the act and Adam Marnell contributed four conversions and a penalty.

Orrell Anvils whipped Moore 50-3 whilst Ruskin Park saw off Marple 32-18. Warrington scraped in 13-12 at Trentham but Southport just missed out 3-6 against Dukinfield.

Prenton accounted for Buxton 19-8 in Division Three. Daryl Parker struck three penalties with tries for Steve Evans and James Reeve.

Port Sunlight saw off Linley 36-12. Alex Bedson, Dave Tarr and Tim Zuger were amongst those to breach the visiting rearguard.

There were also wins for Liverpool Rangers 22-14 at Parkonians who scored a try and three penalties via Terry Williams, Capenhurst 52-31 at Knutsford and Ellesmere Port 28-0 at home to Congleton.

St Edwards gained a try via Chris Stewart and a penalty in an 8-27 North Lancashire One reverse at Burnley. Birchfield finished 36-28 to the good against Tarleton.

Division Two scores included Aspull 8 Old Bedians 17; Carnforth 10 Mossley Hill 19; St Mary’s 24 North Manchester 23; Windermere 41 West Park Warriors 3.
