FORMER Great Britain internationals Brian McDermott and Paul Sculthorpe will clash in the ring next month having signed up for a charity boxing event.
McDermott, who recently stepped down as Harlequins coach to join the Leeds backroom staff, will be the top name at the Netflights League at War night in St Helens on November 27.
The 40-year-old, who enjoyed a decade-long playing career with Bradford, was a heavyweight boxing champion in the Royal Marines before switching to rugby league full-time.
St Helens legend Sculthorpe, a former Great Britain captain and twice Man of Steel winner, retired two years ago.
There will also be two exhibition bouts on the undercard, with Warrington playmaker Lee Briers and St Helens full-back Paul Wellens each taking on former British middleweight star Herol Graham.
Hunslet Hawks player-coach Paul March will also face off against team-mate and twin brother David.
The event has been organised by the Steve Prescott Foundation, which raises money for cancer charities.
Prescott, the former St Helens, Hull and Wakefield full-back, has been fighting a rare form of stomach cancer for the past four years.
