BRADFORD have revealed Australian scrum-half Matt Orford has asked to be released from the remaining two years of his contract.
The 32-year-old former Melbourne and Manly half-back, who was the Bulls’ marquee signing for 2010, returned to Australia before the end of his first season to undergo shoulder surgery and has found himself in big demand, prompting the player to seek a move.
The Bulls have responded to the request by allowing Orford to remain abroad beyond his anticipated return date of November 1, with the club due to hold talks with the player’s representative next week.
