THE Birkenhead Park-Waterloo cross-river derby in National Three North League is one of the highlights of a busy local rugby union programme tomorrow.
Waterloo cross the river to the Upper Park for a first-ever league clash. The Blundellsands outfit moved out of the relegation zone last weekend and will be keen to maintain their improved form.
Birkenhead with a number of ex-Waterloo men in their ranks are unlikely to show them any favours in what promises to be a tense battle. Kick off is 3pm.
Chester have Sandal as visitors and need to win to keep their play-off hopes alive.
Caldy in National Two North welcome Luctonians. The clubs are side-by-side in the table but Caldy with home advantage can register their third win of 2011.
Meantime, buoyant LSH travel to Wilmslow for a tricky North One West encounter.
New Brighton, fourth bottom, face a vital game at Wigton who are one place above them in the table while Wirral could do their neighbours a favour by beating Leigh at Clatterbridge.
Rock-bottom West Park, will do well to collect any points at the expense of visiting Northwich.
Anselmians remain unbeaten in South Lancashire/Cheshire One and their record should not come under threat at Oswestry.
