Tries via Liam McGovern, after a superb passing move from their own 22, and Lloyd Hayes plus the conversions and a brace of penalties from Hayes earned a 20-6 interval advantage. Two further penalties and a touch down from Andy Moore completed the Chester scoring. Burnage after two first-half penalties scored two tries.
