WIRRAL just lost out in this eight-try thriller at Broughton Park, where in the last action of the game the final pass did not go to hand as they looked to take Broughton Park’s unbeaten home record.
This was a game where Wirral opened a 14-0 lead with tries from Danny and Craig Harvey. However in the space of 10 minutes before half time, Park hit back with three tries of their own. The sides were level at half-time, 17 apiece.
Park were rewarded with two more tries through Duffy and Wilson again to extend the lead to 29-17. In the last 20 minutes however, Robbie Pearl crossed. A Harvey penalty reduced the arrears to 29-25.
