WEST PARK followed up their first home win in South Lancashire/Cheshire One League with an excellent away victory at in-form Hoylake.
It finished 20-7 at Melrose Avenue.
New Brighton enjoyed a 28-17 victory at Orrell and Wigan came away 17-14 to the good from Bowdon.
It was not so good for Ormskirk 26-7 against Tyldesley and Warrington 27-6 against Sale.
Sefton surprised Vagabonds with a 22-19 win in Division Two. It is now six wins on the bounce for Sefton whose try scorers on the Island were Liam Brown (2) and Dave Almond.
Wayne Osborne converted twice and also landed what proved to be a crucial penalty.
Southport did not have such a fruitful visit to the Island as they fell 25-14 at the hands of Douglas.
Ruskin Park triumphed 25-8 at Oldershaw and head the table.
Ellesmere Port were happy with a 29-7 result at home to Trentham.
In the only Division Three match Prenton cruised in 38-0 at Helsby.
Leigh were made to fight all the way for a 28-24 outcome against Carlisle in North One
Birchfield beat St Edwards 30-20 in North Lancashire One whilst in Division Two Crosby St Mary’s crashed 52-7 at Carnforth.
