NEW BRIGHTON stayed in contention for honours in South Lancashire/Cheshire One League with a 28-17 success away to Orrell.
It was a good all round display for the Blues. Mark Wilson marked his debut at centre with one of the four tries.
The ever reliable Kati Tuipulotu (2) and Aaron Jones were the others to breach the Orrell rearguard. Luke Thompson landed all four conversions.
The bonus point lifted the Blues to within five points of second placed Tyldesley and certainly an eighth victory should be on the cards this weekend.
Ormskirk, who are next to bottom are the visitors to Hartsfield, 2.15pm kick-off.
