CHESTER were well pleased with a 35-17 victory over Penrith in their latest National Three North League outing.
They appear to have steadied the ship after a couple of defeats and lie second in the table six points behind leaders Darlington Mowden Park and a couple ahead of third-placed Rossendale.
Centre Lloyd Hayes was handed the Man of the Match award against the Cumbrians but was run very close by Ross White who provided an outstanding contribution in the back-row.
Will Bown was missing again but could be back for the trip to Morley.
