LITTLE went right for Birkenhead in this National Three North League clash as their first venture on the all weather pitch met with defeat.
Park were disrupted by injuries but also did not help their cause with some poor defensive work.Burnage took a 15-point interval lead with tries by Ollie Hewitt and Rob Wellock and a conversion and a penalty by Chris Kornecki.
A second Hewitt touchdown in the third quarter stretched the advantage but Park, despite being down to 13 men, grabbed a try by Colin Campbell. Dave Hall added the goal.
But Stuart Oldham ran the length of the pitch for a conclusive score for Burnage with Kornecki adding the extras.
