FOLLOWING last week’s defeat at leaders Sandbach, Anselmians showed they have guts in abundance to overcome Broughton Park.
Anselmians rallied round their head coach Simon Mason and forwards coach Dave Buttery after Barrie Pilgrim’s resignation for business reasons.
Mason said: “Thanks to Barrie we have a strong foundation at the club and he has always demanded high standards. He has been very supportive.
“It was good to get a win against a very good Broughton Park outfit.
“With important games coming up this is going to be a critical period for us.”
