LIVERPOOL ST HELENS, like most of the clubs in North One West, find themselves with a blank Saturday thanks to a remarkably mild autumn.
Saturday is scheduled as the first free date for rearranged fixtures and for the first time in many seasons there aren’t any.
President Ray French said: “It’s been a good season so far. We’re in contention and you can’t ask for more than that.”
LSH’s promotion ambitions face a severe test in December with a visit from Widnes followed by a trip to Sandbach.
There is floodlit action at Moss Lane tomorrow night when LSH 2nd XV play their Raging Bull Cup tie against Wilmslow 2nd XV, 8pm.
