WATERLOO director of rugby Jan Van Deventer was left frustrated after his side’s late collapse at West Hartlepool.
The visitors clawed their way back from 20-5 down to within a point only to concede two tries in the final five minutes which ensured they returned to Merseyside without even a losing bonus point
Van Deventer said: “The only people who are beating us at the moment is ourselves. We made far too many mistakes and our inability to hold onto possession is something we are going to have to work on.
”We are still in ninth place and there is definitely no panic although a number of sides such as Burnage and Morley are creeping up on us.”
