Parkonians clinch Vase first leg win

PARKONIANS came away 19-5 to the good from Mossley Hill in the first leg of their National Junior Vase clash.

Paul Hillan, Terry Williams and Matt Dooley crossed for the winners and there was a conversion each for Williams and Liam Sadler. There was little joy for Oldershaw in the Isle of Man against Vagabonds in South Lancashire/Cheshire Two League.

They managed a consolation try in a 43-5 finish. Ellesmere Port also found Isle of Man opposition too strong as they lost 19-13 against Ramsey at Whitby Road.

The vast majority of local clubs had a free weekend but there is a full return to league action this coming Saturday.
