WIDNES took a break from league action to move smoothly into the next round of the Lancashire Trophy after a comprehensive demolition job over their hosts, Eccles.
There was absolutely no chance of a shock result happening in this one once the visitors had taken the lead after just 10 minutes.
After that, it was all one way traffic as Eccles found the pace too hot for them against their more illustrious opponents.
The visitors scored 12 tries in all from Matty Smith (2), Andrew Riley (3), Gareth Riley (2), Michael Lamb (2) Paul Borg, Pieu Liku and Dave Welsh.
Kevin Leadbetter was also on form with the boot, adding a penalty and eight conversions.
