CHESTER moved back to second place in National Three North League with this latest victory.
All the best work by a makeshift line-up was done in the opening half against Lymm when they registered tries via Tom Evans, Josh Leach and Noam Devey plus two conversions and a penalty from the boot of Liam McGovern.
Lymm managed a converted try but further touch-downs in the 55th and 69th minutes put them right back in contention.
Chester, however, held their nerve, and after a good period of driving moves, Will Bown went in for a decisive try with McGovern successfully adding the extras.
