CALDY, after an unlucky defeat away to Luctonians last week, aim to bounce back at home to Preston Grasshoppers in National Two North tomorrow.
They certainly won’t be able to take anything for granted against a Hoppers side which ran high riding Huddersfield close in their latest outing and have won eight of their 15 matches to date.
Waterloo and Birkenhead Park both face tricky away engagements in National Three North. Waterloo at Burnage and Birkenhead at Cheshire rivals Lymm.
Chester will hope to cement second place in the table by overcoming Bradford and Bingley at Hare Lane and should have several players back in action.
In-form Widnes are unlikely to slip up at home to Wigton in North One but LSH will not relish a trip to Sandbach who head the table. A win would make a huge difference to LSH who lie second, seven points adrift.
A tasty Hoylake v New Brighton derby highlights the South Lancashire/Cheshire One programme. Wigan face an interesting home clash with runaway leaders Sale who remain unbeaten.
At the other end of the scale Warrington hope it will be 14th time lucky at home to Orrell. All their 13 league games to date have been lost but they have been knocking on the door of success in recent weeks.
Sefton, at Marple in Division Two, give a debut to ex-colt Anthony Ellis at centre.
Wallasey have carried all before them in Division Three in their best season for years. Local rivals Parkonians will try to put an end to their 11-match winning streak at Holm Lane.
