UNFORCED errors proved costly for Chester as they went down 17-26 at home to a solid Bradford and Bingley outfit last Saturday.
Chester still retain second place in National Three North but are now ten points adrift of leaders Darlington Mowden Park whilst Rossendale who are two points behind them have a game in hand.
Chester were still missing key players at the weekend but registered tries via Barry Holmes and Ton Gregory plus two conversions and a penalty via Liam McGovern.
They led 17-13 at the half way stage and the result remained in the balance until a 77th minute touch down by the combined outfit.
Chester head for a derby at Birkenhead Park this Saturday hopeful of completing a double after a comfortable success in September.
