Anselmians keep going to get bonus point

THIS game was over by half-time but Anselmians never gave up the fight and managed to get a bonus point.

Despite an early penalty and 3-0 down, Anselmians remained determined but defensive lapses were to prove costly.

Four tries and a further penalty had sealed the game by the break but a try from the visitors from left wing Paddy McDonough after a good run from full-back Matt Allen had given them some hope as they trailed 32-5.

In the second half Vale continued to exploit the Anselmians’ weaknesses.

However some pride was restored when the ball went wide and Simione Mafi went over. Simon Mason converted to give a score of 39-12.

A further two tries in the space of 10 minutes for the home side made it 51-12.

Again this was from Lune running from deep and cutting through a weak defensive line.

Back came Anselmians and this time prop Tanni Haunga went over after pressure from the forwards.

With 10 minutes remaining a further three tries were scored, one for the home side and two for Anselmians.
