AFTER having Easter off to recuperate, Liverpool St Helens turns their attention to Saturday’s crucial North West One match-up against Widnes.
Earlier in the season Widnes ran out comfortable 34-17 winners at Moss Lane and LSH will be hoping for conditions more suiting of their play when they take the field at Heath Road. Martin Jones will hope to have a full squad to choose from, welcoming back a number of key players including the inspirational Dave Cunliffe.
The second XV weren’t afforded the luxury of an Easter Saturday off and went down 19-12 in a closely contested game away at Vale of Lune. The seconds will hope to get back on the victory trail against top of the table Burnage at home this Saturday.
Prior to the match on Saturday, LSH under-16s will entertain a touring Llandudno side. The game starts at 1.30pm and after watching the Grand National, the team will also be watching a re-run of their Scarborough festival triumph earlier in the season.
