GOLFERS taking part in a charity day on Merseyside are being given the chance to put mind over matter.
Performance enhancement coach Dr John Brazier is offering a complimentary personal consultation session as part of the Celebrity Golf Classic at Hillside Golf Club on Thursday, September 13.
The day is in aid of The Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation.
Dr Brazier’s work helps golfers enjoy a stronger and more focused game ahead of an event which will feature former players from both Liverpool and Everton football clubs.
Golf at The Open qualifying venue in Southport will be followed by a three-course dinner and trick shot show by David Edwards, who has performed at events like the Ryder and Solheim Cups.
Liverpool impressionist Darren Farley will also be entertaining dinner guests with his famous sporting voices.
Event organiser Jenny Roberts said “Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer deaths in the UK, with someone being diagnosed every 15 minutes.
“All of the money raised will go towards our ultimate mission of defeating lung cancer and every penny counts.”
The event features a two-tee start at 11am.
Teams of four can enter for £700 – which also includes breakfast to start the day – with booking details from Jenny Roberts on 0333 323 7200 or by e-mailing jenny.roberts@roycastle.org.
