Childwall Golf Club receives Centenary Plate at Lancashure Golf Union dinner

CHILDWALL Golf Club’s 100 year-long history was acknowledged at the 57th annual dinner of the Lancashire Union of Golf Clubs.

Club captain Peter Quinn received a Centenary Plate.

The event was hosted by Lancashire President Les Wilson with principal guests Paul Baxter, President of England Golf, and Jim McArthur, Chairman of the Championship Committee of the R&A GC of St Andrews.

Outgoing county captain Bill Bromilow was congratulated on his success in five years at the helm. He was presented with the Northern Counties League Trophy. The seniors are also northern champions.
