WIDNES will be looking to back up last weekend’s sensational victory away at Altrincham Kersal when they take on Wilmslow at Heath Road in North One West.
Their pack were just irresistible on the day, and the youthful enthusiasm shown by the young brigade, left the conquerors of Sale the previous week, with nowhere left to go.
But back to this one, and Wilmslow have a mixed bag of results so far this season, with four wins against teams from the bottom end of the table; Anselmians, Manchester, Kirkby Lonsdale and Leigh, matched by defeats against teams at the top end, including Vale of Lune, Liverpool St Helens Sale and Rochdale.
Should Widnes be successful in achieving the win, then they will leap-frog their rivals and ready to pounce should any of the top sides slip up.
The game kicks off at 3pm.
