OLIVER Carr (Heswall) and Paul Howard (Southport and Ainsdale) have been named in the England A squad for 2012/13.
DERBYSHIRE came out on top for the fourth time when they won the National Alliance Championship at Caldy.
They amassed 171 stableford points to overcome 13 teams of five pro-am and am-am pairings, including representatives of the Liverpool Alliance, to claim the John Dowd Trophy in an event instigated by the Manchester Alliance president in 2001.
