BIRKENHEAD PARK faced a daunting trip to Harrogate to take on the unbeaten National Three North leaders Harrogate at Claro Road on Saturday. Park were on the wrong end of 58-8 score line but were still able to come away with a positive feeling.
Park travelled without the injured Dave Ibbotson and minus new player coach Shaun Woof but the Birkenhead forwards gave a very good account of themselves despite losing flanker Adam Cupples early on.
Team Manager George Pollock said: “The margin of defeat was extremely harsh and certainly not a true reflection of the game.”
Park’s next game is against Bradford & Bingley on November 14.
