She returned 82-3-79 to finish a shot behind Alicia Stebbings (Wilpshire, 87-9-78). Rachel Morgan (West Derby, 92-12-80) was third.

Eloise Healey (West Lancashire) took the gross prize with a round of 84.

Sophie Bennett, from the home club, was the 9-hole stableford winner with 19 points.

BROMBOROUGH’S Caroline Berry was unbeaten in her three singles matches at the Senior Homes Internationals at Elie & Earlsferry as England finished runners-up to new champions Ireland.
