AFTER the disappointment of seeing their clash with Vale of Lune postponed because of a waterlogged pitch, Widnes hope to make it second time lucky with another trip up the M6, this time to face Fleetwood in their own back yard at Melbourne Avenue.
The game was originally scheduled for October 6, but was also washed out because of the monsoon like conditions on the eve of the game.
Fleetwood are second from bottom in North One West but for Widnes, their prospects are looking much better after consecutive wins against Altrincham Kersal and Wilmslow.
However, coach Lee McDermott will be aware that Fleetwood have a score to settle after his team beat them in the play-off game for promotion into North One West at the end of the 2010/11 season.
